Frequently Asked Questions ?How many lessons are required to learn driving and obtain licence ?There are no specific number of lessons or hours of practice that can guarantee the learner driver to learn driving or obtain licence. All students learn at their own individual pace. The more the learner practices with driving instructor the learner will learn quickly and properly. There is a minimum of 120 hours that new students must undertake and record in a log book. This is mandatory for new students under 21 years of age and who have received their learner’s permit after 1 july 2007. Is it necessary to learn driving with driving instructors and with other experience drivers ?Driving with a driving instructor will give you the necessary knowledge and skills needed to attain your Victorian licence. Driving instructors are trained and have the updated knowledge of road rules. But friends and family members who train you might not be aware of of the latest rules and changes. And more over they would have developed some wrong habits of driving without their knowledge like not checking mirrors frequently. So it is better to learn the basics of driving with driving instructor and then can practice more with family members and friends who have experience in driving. The more you practice the quicker you will learn and gain confidence on the roads. How long are the driving lessons ? We provide driving lessons for 45 minutes, 60 minutes and 90 minutes slots which starts and ends at mutually agreed place (usually at the students home, work, school or agreed place). Should i learn in Automatic or Manual car ? It is upto your decision and situation. But it is easier to learn in an automatic car. Because there is no clutch and gears to worry about. It means you will most likely require fewer lessons. |
